I admire classical music. Vivaldi and Mozart are my saints. Musicals, operas, and classical concerts heal my soul. I rarely miss events of this nature. Since Dubai Opera opened its doors to sophisticated music lovers I have had the pleasure of attending many great performances at this venue; Cats, Evita, Anna Karenina, Chicago, to name a few.

The Venue
It is impossible to miss this work of art when visiting Dubai. Located in Downtown Dubai, it’s close to the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain, and Dubai Mall, the city’s most popular tourist attractions. Dubai Opera is designed in the style of an Arabian dhow, which is an ancient type of sailing vessel.

Dubai Opera Auditorium can be configured as a theatre, a concert hall, and a flat floor. Its versatile space can accommodate any type of event. Aside from musicals, ballets, and operas, the venue can host fashion shows, weddings, gala dinners, and product launches. Isn’t that fascinating?

Explore the Dubai Opera – Take a Tour
If you are in the city, don’t miss seeing a show at the Dubai Opera. If the repertoire does not interest you, the venue offers something else. You can take a tour with an expert guide who will show you the backstage facilities, take you around the dressing rooms and explain how the auditorium transforms into flat floor mode.

It’s an exciting opportunity to learn more about the behind-the-scenes work that is put into the production of an opera. You will also learn more about the architecture, sculptures, and artworks that decorate the Dubai Opera.

Each step of the tour of this magnificent building is enjoyable. It is an exclusive chance to have the opera hall all to yourself.
Admire The Symphony Chandelier
The Symphony Chandelier is a stunning centrepiece of the foyer and lounge which creates a unique atmosphere. This dazzling piece of art features 30.000 individually crafted glass pearls that are illuminated by about 3.000 LEDs sources.

In Conclusion
Dubai Opera is not just a building; it is a cultural landmark that represents the rich artistic heritage of Dubai. Sitting next to the world’s largest mall and tallest building, this cultural icon should definitely be on your travel itinerary. It’s a must-see for any visitor.
